Fleet Services Coordinator

Position DescriptionPosition Overview:Oversees and coordinates operations and maintenance services for over 250 fleet vehicles in the Engineering Department.Duties in general include tracking, monitoring, and reporting for maintenance, mileage, equipment, accidents,repairs/replacement, and all other duties as it relates to fleet services coordination.Job DutiesMonitors vehicle mileage and frequency in usage.Responsible for monthly reporting on departmental vehicle health, including accident reporting and follow up.Develops, implements, and maintains departmental vehicle policy as necessary.Coordinates the issuance of fuel pins, vehicle purchases, trade-ins/sales, etc.Manages parking and vehicle location(s).All other duties as assigned.Harris County is an Equal Opportunity Employerhttps://hrrm.harriscountytx.gov/Pages/EqualEmploymentOpportunityPlan.aspxIf you need special services or accommodations, please call (713) 274-5445 or email ADACoordinator@bmd.hctx.net .This position is subject to a criminal history check. ANDIncluding two (2) years of related experience in fleet services management.ORA high diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.ANDIncluding four (4) years of related experience in fleet services management. Must always possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License.Knowledge, Skill, And AbilitiesMust understand and follow oral and written instructions in a thorough, neat, and timely manner. Must be a self-starter possessing the interpersonal skills required to be a productive team player.Must maintain a courteous, helpful behavior always.Computer proficiency - Outlook 365 Outlook, Word & ExcelMust be able to demonstrate oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and present understandable reports.Computer skills to produce effective spreadsheets, reports and documents as required.Time-management and organizational skillsThis position is Safety Sensitive and will be subject to random drug and alcohol screening.NOTE: Qualifying education, experience, knowledge, and skills must be documented on your job application. "See Resume" will not be accepted for qualifications .General InformationPosition Type, And Typical Hours Of WorkFull-Time | Regular | 40 hours per week.Hybrid schedule: Three days in the office and two days working from home.Subject to early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays at times, depending upon the project or workload.SalaryCommensurate with experience, based on 26 pay periods.Physical Demands And Environmental ExposureMost assignments will be performed in an office, meeting, or operations command center environment, but some field work may be required.
