Our mission is to offer comfort, dignity, and support to those facing end-of-life journeys.Role OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist with answering phones in our office. This role is vital in ensuring that families, patients, and healthcare providers receive timely and empathetic communication.ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming calls with professionalism and empathy.Provide information, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.Navigate multiple computer programs, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.Offer a calming presence to callers who may be experiencing emotional distress.QualificationsExcellent verbal communication and active listening skills.Proficiency with computers and ability to learn new software.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.Compassionate, patient, and composed demeanor.Previous experience in customer service or healthcare settings is a plus.ScheduleFlexible shifts available between Monday and Friday.Commitment of 1-2 days per week, with shifts ranging from 2 to 3 hours.BenefitsMake a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families.Gain experience in a healthcare environment.Join a supportive and dedicated team of professionals and volunteers.Receive training and ongoing support.
