Internal Medicine, Medical Director - Primary Care (Blaine, Fridley, New Brighton)

Job DescriptionResponsibilities/Job Description:Fairview is seeking a full time Medical Director, Primary Care to provide strategic and operational leadership for M Health Fairview Blaine, Fridley and New Brighton clinics. The Medical Director, in partnership with the Operational Director leads a care team(s) to achieve the organization's mission and strategic goals. This role manages the strategy and execution of day-to-day operations in the three clinics. The Medical Director is responsible for providing leadership to the physicians and advanced practice providers at the sites they support, including the Daily Engagement System (DES). Medical Director will also support the Service Line with projects and committees or programmatic management as assigned. Assists in development of short term and long-term plans or projects that align to the Service Line and organizational strategies. The Medical Director is accountable for the provider budget, productivity and overall performance.Practice Details:1.0 FTE (.50 Admin / .50 Clinical)Administrative oversight for clinics located in Blaine, Fridley, and New BrightonClinical practice may be based at one primary location (Blaine, Fridley, or New Brighton), based on candidate preference and organizational needProvide leadership and oversight to physicians and advanced practice providers across all three clinicsManage daily operations through the Daily Engagement System (DES) and ensure execution of strategic and operational plansMonitor clinic capacity and utilization to ensure access and meet community needsPartner with the operations director to develop, monitor, and manage financial budgets, provider productivity, and overall performanceLead, sponsor, and support continuous improvement initiatives using lean principlesParticipate in service line committees, projects, and programmatic management as assignedPromote positive, collaborative relationships across departments, service lines, and community partnersSupport professional development, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing performance managementQualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with completion of residency in an approved AMA specialty, orDoctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)Minimum of 5 years in clinical practice with proven success in quality, practice management, and patient experienceAdministrative and/or managerial experienceDemonstrated success in fostering a patient-centered, safe environment of careStrong leadership, communication, and change management skillsCollaborative work style with the ability to mentor and influence at all levelsCommunity Information:https://www.greatermsp.org/http://www.education.state.mn.ushttp://www.exploreminnesota.comQualifications:$331,382 - $368,202 Annual *based on full time (1.0 FTE)
