Production Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to join our team and drive the efficient and safe production of our products. This hands-on leadership role demands a thorough understanding of production workflows, a strong focus on safety and quality, and expertise in process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in production management, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Batch Management: Supervise and coordinate the mixing of batches to ensure consistency and compliance with established protocols. Manage Packaging Operations: Oversee all packaging processes to ensure products meet quality standards and adhere to production schedules. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards. Sample Collection: Regularly collect and analyze product samples to maintain quality and safety benchmarks. Product Scaling: Assist in scaling products from pilot batches to full production, ensuring consistency and quality are maintained throughout the process. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop, document, and enforce SOPs across all production areas to streamline operations and ensure compliance. Preventive Maintenance (PM) Scheduling: Collaborate with the maintenance department to develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment. Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to the Director of Operations on production progress, challenges, and solutions. Production Workflow Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of production workflows and recommend continuous improvements. Safety and Quality Focus: Uphold strong safety and quality standards, ensuring all production activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma Certification: Utilize Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and efficiency gains. Technical Proficiency: Leverage production management software, ERP systems, and other relevant technologies to manage workflows and data effectively. Problem-Solving Skills: Apply strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to quickly address and resolve production issues. Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team of production staff to achieve operational goals. Project Management: Oversee large-scale production projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and upper management. Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactively identify and implement improvements in production processes. Regulatory Knowledge: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to safety, quality, and environmental impact. Qualifications: Proven experience in a production management role, preferably within the beverage sector. Strong understanding of production processes, workflows, and best practices. Demonstrated experience in QA/QC and a solid track record of maintaining high-quality standards. Ability to develop and implement SOPs across various production areas. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Familiarity with preventive maintenance scheduling and collaboration with maintenance teams. Experience or certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency in production management software, ERP systems, and relevant technology. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of production. Understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards.
