Job Opportunity: Developmental Behavioral PediatricianOur organization is looking for a full-time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join our team, affiliated with a prominent medical institution. We are in search of a passionate and driven physician eager to engage with an urban, ethnically diverse, and underserved community within a vibrant academic environment. The Department of Pediatrics, particularly the Ambulatory Pediatrics division, is one of the busiest in the area, serving over 10,000 individual patients annually and acting as a referral hub for developmental pediatrics within our network of pediatric practitioners. The facility is conveniently accessible via public transport and roadways from various locations across New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical care and education in developmental behavioral pediatrics for children and adolescents.Address various clinical needs, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and intellectual disabilities.Deliver care in an outpatient setting, catering to a diverse patient demographic, including underserved and immigrant families.Supervise and mentor medical students and residents, along with conducting didactic teaching and guest lectures.Engage in research, curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and enhance clinical research skills.QualificationsBoard Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) pediatrician with experience in inpatient pediatrics or as a pediatric hospitalist.Possession of a valid New York State medical license and DEA registration.A strong educational background with a commitment to professional development and ongoing medical education.Compensation and BenefitsThis position offers a faculty appointment at the affiliated medical school, aligned with the candidate's credentials, experience, and qualifications.
