Paralegal – Business Litigation & Transactions

We are looking for the right person to join Buckley Law P.C. as a Paralegal with a Business (Litigation & Transactions) team. The successful candidate will have: Three or more years of experience as a Paralegal, ideally in Business, Banking, Creditor’s Rights, Commercial Transactions & Litigation Experience working with Business Transaction helpful Commercial/business litigation experience in both state and federal courts Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification is preferred Professionalism in communication, both verbal and written; excellent communication and grammar skills Willingness to troubleshoot and contact court clerks, corporation division staff, and other paralegals, to ask questions and find solutions A propensity for electronic communication and electronic document management An ability to prioritize and juggle multiple, concurrent matters and activities while maintaining a calm presence Willingness to do all aspects of the job (i.e. filing, electronic filing, reviewing correspondence carefully, calendaring) An ability to work well and communicate with different types of people, both internally and externally (clients, staff, and attorneys) Willingness to take on tough assignments and be resourceful An ability and experience keeping their attorney(s) organized, including docketing, drafting, etc. Technology experience – Microsoft Suite, Law firm software a plus Other responsibilities as assigned Buckley Law is located in the beautiful Kruse Way office park just south of downtown Portland and offers a host of benefits to eligible employees: Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits for employees Generous paid time off plan, starting at 17 days per year and increasing with tenure 10 Paid holidays 401(k) contribution FSA and cafeteria plan for pre-tax expenses Long-term and short-term disability Hybrid work options Free parking To apply for immediate consideration, please send a resume to resumes@buckley-law.com with a cover letter and share why you may be interested in the position and Firm.
