< We are seeking a Sr. Student Services Coordinatorwho will report to the Director of Student Affairs and support the development and execution of key projects in the office of Student Affairs. This role supports the Director of Student Affairs in the technological, communication, marketing, and program development aspects within the School of Nursing (SON). This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the Student Affairs mission through innovative outreach and efficient process management.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesTechnological SupportDesign and maintain communications using Canva, Mail Merge, Word Press, Mail Chimp, Microsoft Forms, and Hopkins Groups.Communication & MarketingDevelops and designs various informational and promotional materials, website and publications about Student Affairs, and the SON and University services in general.Maintains and publicizes calendar of Student Affairs and student organizations events.Supports the creation, editing, and sending of the weekly Student E-News through MailChimp.Outreach & Mission AdvocacyHelp to support the SON Student Affairs Pluralism initiatives.Represent Student Affairs at University and SON events.Prepare presentation slides and communication. Program Development & Event PlanningInnovate and expand programming catering to diverse student groups including DNPs, MSN, HOL, First Gen, Orientation, Peer Navigator Initiative, and cultural organizations.Assist in the developing, planning, and coordinating of Student Affairs events by developing marketing materials, setting up RSVP forms, and promoting the events. This key position will also develop Microsoft Forms assessments on the events' effectiveness (e.g., student attendance, engagement, etc.).Engage fully in the preparations for, and hosting of, monthly Student Affairs programs: the Student Involvement Fair, Orientation, Student Leadership Retreat and Award Ceremony, Peer Navigator Program events, SON Student Organizations/Hopkins Groups Trainings, and any Student Affairs initiatives.Support orientation programs for entering students; assists in registration process, scheduling of events, and development of marketing materials, and other related student services.Master and manage the SON Annual Calendar of events, past and forward-looking.Process ManagementChecks the Student Affairs general email inbox daily and answers student's questions within 24hrs.Writes, maintains, and shares SON Standard Operating Procedures for Student Affairs programs and policies; develops student staff handbook for the Student Affairs office.Student Organization SupportAssist in transitioning the student organizations to the Hopkins Groups and Live25 platforms; reviews and monitors requests; and communicates with student groups within the Hopkins Groups platform.Help to confirm reservations for student organizations using Live25 software.Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or graduation equivalentFive years progressively responsible administrative/academic experience.Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree. Previous experience in a higher education environment .Experience in event planning and student affairs.Experience with website content management and graphic/web design software.Additional Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop), social media apps, Canva, and other relevant software.Proven administrative experience with a strong emphasis on technology and data management.Classified Title: Sr. Student Services CoordinatorJob Posting Title (Working Title):Sr. Student Services Coordinator (Enrollment Mgt & Student Affairs)Role/Level/Range: ATO 37.5/03/OFStarting Salary Range: $21.25 - $36.90 HRLY ($60,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)Employee group: Full TimeSchedule: Mon-Thur 10:00 - 6:00; Fri 8:30 - 4:30 (some nights & weekends during critical processes or events.
