Electrical Engineer for Canning MachinesCentral Islip, NY Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate has experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, motor controls, and machine integration along with a strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and production efficiency. They will also help design and manufacture electrical products of all shapes and sizes. They should be able to make quality assurance checks in order to keep the product standard high.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldStrong problem solving, technical, math and science skillsStrong written and verbal communicationExperience with canning, bottling, or food processing equipment preferredResponsibilitiesEvaluate electrical products and systems by designing testing methodsDesign and develop electrical systems for automated canning machines and machinery systemsTest finished products and system capabilitiesKeep necessary equipment operationalDiagnose electrical and control system issues to minimize downtimeContribute to team efforts by accomplishing related resultsProgram, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, and canning machinery systemsCollaborate with production teams as well as maintenance personnel to facilitate proper production
