LTS-Health Wellness Center Nurse Practitioner LTS is seeking licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) for mobile and static wellness centers in Ingham County, MI. Employees must work in compliance with LTS policies, procedures, professional standards, and program protocols. Proven reliability and attention to detail required. Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor clinical staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and other healthcare professionals. Ensure all immunization procedures are conducted according to established protocols and safety guidelines. Conduct health assessments and administer vaccines to patients of all ages. Address and manage any immediate medical concerns or adverse reactions related to immunizations. Adheres to LTS Policies & Procedures and OSHA safety standards. Ability to learn and perform diagnostic tests (point-of-care) Serve as a clinical lead and primary point of escalation for any clinical matters that arise during wellness centers and/or immunization clinical operations. Competent in ACIP (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices) guidelines and able to perform vaccinations. Competent in performing Vital Signs, a basic wellness assessment, and finger-stick blood sugars. Competent interpreting abnormal vital signs and escalation. Competent in BLS (Basic Life Support) for patients with adverse reactions. Adhering to healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA guidelines, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures according to clinic procedures such as recording temperatures, pulse BPM, blood pressure (manual and auto) and responses to standardized medical history questions. May assist with education by providing educational material and general health information to customers. Implement and maintain infection control and safety measures to ensure a sterile and safe environment. Oversee proper procedures of disposal of hazardous waste materials. Oversee inventory management, including the ordering, storage, and proper handling of vaccines and medical supplies. Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, immunization histories, and clinical notes. Monitor and evaluate the clinic’s performance, including patient satisfaction and compliance with health regulations. Prepare and submit reports on clinic activities, vaccination rates, and any significant findings to relevant stakeholders. Stay current with immunization guidelines, protocols, and best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other relevant health authorities. Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and improve clinic operations. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program. Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with valid state licensure. Certification in immunization administration preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with experience in public health, immunization, or mobile healthcare settings preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills (oral and written). Strong time management skills. Must be self-motivated. Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Committed to observing patient conditions and ensuring patient safety Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Current Driver License and reliable transportation Ability to pass background check. Willingness to learn and share subject matter expertise on systems supporting site operations. Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Must posses an NP license in active and good standing. License must be active while employed with LTS. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Must Possess ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Physical Requirements: Ability to work inside and outside for extended periods of time. Ability to perform job duties while, sitting, standing, squat, bend at the waist, kneel and walking for extended period of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 15- 20lbs., reach in all directions, and unassisted. Ability to use lifting motion over and below waist from 15lbs-20 lbs. without assistance. Ability to use vision or corrective vision to determine depth perception and to discriminate between color coated objects. Ability to perform gross motor functions, fine motor functions and maintain olfactory sensory functions. Ability to work in latex safe environment. Ability to be qualified using medical evaluations and physicals for adequate passing for respirator use. May be exposed to infectious diseases and occupational dangers such as needle pricks and outdoor inclement weather.
