TEMP - Assistant Product Designer (Packaging)

Job Summary:Responsible for day-to-day execution of product and packaging design development for softlines categories, with a strong emphasis on brand storytelling and consumer-facing packaging. Operates under general supervision while building strong cross-functional relationships to deliver cohesive, trend-right, and consumer-centric product and packaging solutions across all retail channels that drive brand equity and meet financial targets.Responsibilities:•     Lead end-to-end product and packaging design development from concept through production, including storytelling, 2D/3D graphics, and structural packaging solutions that reflect brand identity and innovation•     Execute licensed product and packaging approvals through online systems and cross-functional reviews, ensuring excellence in brand storytelling, character execution, color, materials, form, function, and shelf presence while supporting profitability goals•     Develop and design product mock-ups, packaging concepts, creative presentations, POV boards, activation kits, and retail pitch decks that clearly communicate branding and merchandising strategies•     Partner with internal teams (Creative Design, Licensing Commercialization, Global Product Design, Legal, Business Affairs, Corporate Brand Management, Brand Product Management, Franchise, Product Integrity, Integrated Retail, Cultural Consultants) and external partners (WDAS, Pixar, Disney Channel, Licensees, Vendors, and DTR partners) to align on cohesive product and packaging direction and approvals•     Drive packaging and branding consistency across all touchpoints, ensuring alignment with franchise guidelines and retail environments•     Research and analyze seasonal trends, competitive landscape, and packaging innovations to inform design direction and maintain market relevance•     Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing timelines and deliverables across product and packaging workflows•     Leads creative reviews and approvals, providing clear direction and actionable feedback to licensees and partners on both product and packaging execution•     Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring alignment and excellence across all creative aspects of product and packaging developmentQualifications:•     Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., industrial design, graphic design, packaging design, fashion design)•     1+ years of relevant experience in product and/or packaging design•      Strong understanding of packaging development, printing processes, and manufacturing across softlines (textiles, plastics, trims, and materials)•     Demonstrated ability in branding, visual storytelling, and translating IP into compelling packaging and product experiences•     Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to clearly pitch creative concepts•     Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders•     Solid problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities•     Strong design foundation including 2D/3D design, layout, typography, color, and final mechanical art execution•     Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office)
