Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift if needed (call-outs, other maintenance employees on vacation, etc.)Weekends and holiday availability is required. Overtime is required on an as needed basis.Compensation based on experience.SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Light carpentry skills, electrical, and plumbing experience is a plusPainting experienceRespond to both guest and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediatelyMaintains rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as neededPerforms preventative maintenance throughout other areas of the hotel as well, including both the front of the house, the central plant and the interior and exterior of the buildingMaintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairsDemonstrates familiarity with the hotel's safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which effect the security of operating conditions of the hotelGives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest serviceListens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problemsAbility to deal well with people in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to work weekends and holidaysQUALIFICATIONS:Hotel Experience of 3 years is preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to communicate effectively and verbally in English. Excellent hospitality skills. Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends and holidays.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
