Protects from and responds to fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties.Security I - Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfactionPatrols, periodically, outside grounds of campus and lobbies, corridors and public rooms, access points of the facility to ensure safety and security of residents and staffResponds to fire alarms, emergency call switch activation and other emergenciesGraciously warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and devises, reports or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal actsInvestigates and completes resident loss reports and incident reports, gives copies to supervisor and maintains a file on themKeeps accurate log of shift activitiesOccasionally performs emergency janitorial duties and sets thermostatic controls to maintain specified temperature in buildings or cold storage roomsFamiliar with all disaster, fire and other emergency procedures as outlined in facility disaster planPerforms all duties in a safe and efficient mannerWears PPE/safety equipment as required for the jobReports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisorFollows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programsCompetencies and skills: Essential: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formCredentials: Nonessential: Security Guard CardEducation with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: High School diploma or GEDCompensation Disclaimer: The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).Front Porch is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
