Associate Studio EngineerPay: $28/hrLocation: Indianapolis, 5 days a week onsiteOccasional travel may be required12 month contract with the potential to extend About the RoleBrooksource is seeking an Associate Studio Engineer to support the Broadcast Television (BTV) Studio and Control Room operations for a high‑impact production environment. This role is part of the Brooksource Elevate Program, designed to launch early‑career technologists through hands‑on experience, customized technical training, and ongoing coaching and mentorship. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals beginning or transitioning their careers in broadcast technology, studio engineering, or live production who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to innovative event experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesActivities include, but are not limited to:Maintain and support equipment in the BTV Studio to ensure reliable, successful live and recorded eventsServe as Engineer‑in‑Charge (EIC) before, during, and after events with support and guidance from senior engineersAssist with upgrades and improvements to studio and broadcast technology as neededTroubleshoot technical issues in a live webcast or production environment and clearly document and communicate resolutionsSupport testing, evaluation, and integration of new and emerging technologies to ensure broadcasts are production‑readyProvide event support in various studio roles, such as:Engineer‑in‑ChargeProduction CoordinatorQuality ControlAudio Operator (A1), as neededAssist in developing and executing test plans for new technology initiativesHelp train contractors and crew members on newly integrated studio technologyPartner with the BTV Service Account Owner to recommend and support process and technology improvements that enhance studio efficiency and customer experience Required QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience (veterans, career transitioners encouraged to apply)Strong interest in broadcast technology, live production, or studio engineeringBasic technical aptitude with willingness to learn broadcast, audio, video, and studio systemsAbility to stay calm, adaptable, and solutions‑oriented in live production environmentsStrong communication skills and attention to detailAbility to work flexible schedules to support live events Nice to Have (Not Required)Exposure to live events, studio environments, or media productionFamiliarity with audio boards, broadcast switchers, cameras, or control room workflowsMilitary technical background or hands‑on technical training Why Join Brooksource?Be part of a skills‑first, early‑career development programLearn modern broadcast and studio technology in a real production environmentReceive structured mentorship, coaching, and growth supportBuild a strong foundation for long‑term careers in broadcast, media, or technology
