We are committed to providing superior service and leaving things better than we found them.Job Summary:Maintains payroll information by directing the collection, calculation, and entering of dataUpdates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfersPays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accountsPrepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wagesValidates payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation paymentsUnderstanding of unions and union remittancesBalances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepanciesProvides payroll information by answering questions and requestsComplies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actionsMaintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidentialMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerform other administrative tasks as assignedRequirements and Education:2-5 years of payroll experience requiredExperience processing prevailing wage and certified payrollStrong time management and organizational skillsUnderstanding of compensation and wage structures, benefits administration, union agreements, and prevailing wage regulationsProven experience managing multi-state payroll operations, including knowledge of state-specific tax withholdings, unemployment insurance (SUI), and regulatory compliancePreferred Requirements and Education:6+ years of payroll experience preferredBachelor's degree strongly preferredExperience with ADP and/or Vista Viewpoint preferredEEO StatementAIS Infrastructure Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
