Diesel Mechanic
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in servicing and repairing diesel engines, as well as a strong mechanical background.
Duties:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel equipment and vehicles
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of diesel vehicles
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- Conduct repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Keep detailed records of all work performed
Skills:
- Mechanical knowledge
- Experience with equipment repair
- Proficiency in electrical systems
- Ability to use hand tools effectively
- Welding experience is a plus
- Previous experience as a Service Technician is advantageous
- Familiarity with dealership standards and procedures
- Ability to align and suspend components accurately
- Soldering skills for electrical connections
