The Phoenix Group Advisors is conducting a search for a Trial Paralegal for a mid-sized litigation law firm specializing in complex civil litigation and appellate practice. The role supports all phases of litigation, including trial, post-trial, and appellate proceedings, overseeing document preparation, case management, and court filings.The Trial Paralegal owns the management of trial and appellate support tasks, ensuring compliance with procedural rules, coordinating discovery, trial logistics, and preparing litigation materials. This position directly contributes to the efficiency of trial preparation, courtroom support, and appellate filing processes.Manage complex civil litigation cases from inception through appellate phasesDraft and cite-check pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, and appellate documentsTrack and monitor deadlines under California and Federal Rules of Civil and Appellate ProcedureCoordinate discovery, document productions, and deposition logisticsPrepare trial binders, exhibit lists, witness lists, and pre-trial documentationOversee e-filing, court document service, and compliance with jurisdiction-specific proceduresOperate litigation support and e-discovery platforms (Relativity, CS Disco)Manage trial logistics including courtroom technology, exhibit tracking, and trial support3-5 years of complex litigation paralegal experience, including trial supportExperience in California state and federal courts, appellate practice preferredParalegal certificate from ABA-accredited program or equivalent experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systemsFamiliarity with trial presentation software (TrialDirector, OnCue)Strong technical aptitude and quick learner of litigation technologiesKnowledge of California and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Court RulesExperience with e-discovery, litigation support platforms, and courtroom technologyCore Technical Skills:Litigation Support, E-Discovery, Case Management, Court Procedures, Trial Preparation, Appellate Practice, Relativity, CS Disco, TrialDirector, Document Management Systems, California Civil & Appellate Rules, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Court E-Filing PlatformsThis role develops efficiency in managing trial and appellate support processes, ensuring timely and compliant case progression, and supporting successful litigation outcomes.The Phoenix Group Advisors is an equal opportunity employer.
