BioSample Operations AssociateThe BioSample Operations Associate oversees the collection, delivery, and assay of biosamples, including Biomarkers and PD within clinical studies under the guidance of the Biosample Operations Manager and Translational Medicine Lead. You will establish workflows and set timelines for analytical needs to support Heme Translational Medicine goals. Ensuring biosample process consistency across all clinical studies within your projects, you will manage sample logistics from patient to data. Collaborating with Translational Science Strategists and stakeholders at all levels, you will ensure sample management consistency and the appropriate delivery and completion of tasks.AccountabilitiesInitiate contracts and budget requests with third-party vendors, manage and track tasks, facilitate discussions with stakeholders, and push through deliverables to ensure finalization within appropriate timelinesLiaise with Translational Medicine Lead and Clinical Operations to establish analysis needs and operational feasibilityCollaborate with business partners and stakeholders on demands and expectations for all functions involved in the projectEstablish productive working relationships with sites, vendors, business partners, and other stakeholdersServe as an active member of the Clinical Study Team to obtain and provide updates on the progress of the trial regarding sample managementIdentify and mitigate risks to ensure delivery of sample analysisKeep track of follow-up items for sample activities within clinical studiesDraft and review laboratory manuals to ensure accuracy and consistency with the study protocol and clinical needsManage Lab in PD sample logistics, including sample delivery, query resolutions, negotiating with couriers and external vendors to streamline sample collection and shipmentFacilitate sample shipments and query resolutions among vendors to ensure timely data delivery as neededLead biobankIdentify issues and proactively escalate and resolve them urgentlyTrack and manage all sample-related activities for TM PD, and Biomarkers routinely and provide updates when appropriateUnderstand and assist in data reporting needs for each clinical studyEssential Skills/ExperienceBachelor's degree in life sciences with 1+ years of working experience in the biotech/pharma industryClinical or biological laboratory experience with evidence of involvement in the processing and/or analysis of biological samplesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust be very diligent and organizedConsistent record of successfully managing multiple competing prioritiesSelf-motivated and a quick learner who's able to execute on given instructionsDesirable Skills/ExperienceExperience working within a clinical study team settingWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines. Apply today!The annual base pay for this position ranges from $82,463 to $123,695. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
