Snow Plow & Salt Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Plow & Salt Truck Driver to manage winter snow removal and de-icing operations for commercial properties only. The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently operate snow plows and salt trucks to keep parking lots and access areas clear during winter weather conditions. This position requires experience, a strong understanding of vehicle operation, safety procedures, and basic equipment maintenance. IMPORTANT: If you have experience operating only a plow truck, we still encourage you to apply. Experience operating both plow and salt trucks is a plus. This position is paid under a W-9 (1099 independent contractor) Hourly rates begin at $27.00 with potential higher pay depending on experience Responsibilities Operate snow plow trucks and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from designated areas Safely navigate and control heavy machinery in various weather conditions Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on plow and salt truck equipment Apply salt or de-icing materials evenly across surfaces to prevent ice formation Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and ensure timely snow removal Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment after each shift Follow safety protocols related to vehicle operation, snow removal, and hazardous conditions MUST-HAVES: Prior experience operating snow plow trucks and/or Salt truck is required. (2+ years) Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and repair is advantageous Strong knowledge of safety procedures for operating heavy machinery in winter weather conditions Chauffeur’s license is required Availability during snow events (day or night, on-call) Legally authorized to work in the US.
