Managing Director, Head of Asset Owners & Stable Value Wrap
Global Credit Finance (GCF) is State Street’s balance‑sheet lending and credit solutions platform, responsible for deploying the firm’s capital to support institutional clients while generating durable, risk‑adjusted returns. We are seeking a senior, market‑recognized leader to provide enterprise‑level leadership with full strategic, commercial, and risk accountability for the Asset Owners and Stable Value Wrap businesses.
Responsibilities
Set and execute the global strategy for Asset Owners and Stable Value Wrap, aligned with State Street’s risk appetite and capital priorities.
Own P&L performance, portfolio growth, and risk‑adjusted returns across market cycles.
Provide executive oversight of credit underwriting, portfolio construction and ongoing surveillance across the range of businesses.
Partner closely with Enterprise Risk Management, Treasury, Legal, Finance, and Global Clients Division.
Represent State Street with senior clients, industry bodies, regulators and rating agencies, and at conferences and external forums.
Drive cross‑sell and enterprise relationship opportunities in partnership with other State Street businesses.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members, including succession planning and talent development across multiple levels.
Participate in division‑level and firm‑wide initiatives, committees, and strategic programs.
What We Value
Deep expertise in institutional fixed‑income markets and Stable Value or similar structured products.
Demonstrated experience owning or materially influencing P&L, balance‑sheet deployment, and risk outcomes.
Strong credit judgment and the ability to manage complex risks.
Executive presence and the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
Proven people‑leadership capabilities, including developing senior talent and building resilient organizations.
A collaborative, enterprise‑oriented mindset aligned with State Street’s values and culture.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CFA designation strongly preferred.
Minimum of 15+ years of relevant financial services experience, including institutional client‑facing and balance‑sheet‑driven roles.
Prior experience leading teams and managing material portfolio risk.
Salary
$170,000 – $282,500 annually (primary location). The range may differ for alternative locations.
