The role ensures that all meetings, reports, and project workflows are managed efficiently to facilitate the timely execution of projects within ENGIE's Capital Projects portfolio from ideation the stage to project completion. You'll be an essential member of a team ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget-while maintaining the highest standards of quality, governance, and stakeholder satisfaction.The projects you support-ranging from lifecycle renewals to major expansions and modernization efforts-will strengthen the University's energy resilience, reliability, and sustainability for future generations.No two days are the same. You'll bolster the effectiveness a multidisciplinary team of project managers and construction professionals, interface with University and ENGIE leadership, and drive continuous improvement across all delivery processes.Essential duties include the following:Provide field input to assist with tracking and reporting of schedule and budget performance during the construction phaseSupport cost estimation and scheduling for projects in development/designPrepare and execute Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans for Capital Improvement and Efficiency projectsEnsure construction conforms to civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation & controls drawings, specifications, and all other relevant codesPartner with assigned Project Engineer, which is usually an external contractor, to develop a project procedures manual. This reference shall provide the framework for construction addressing mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation & controls and administrative fundamental requirementsOpine on constructability through the review of Contractor plans, determining if special operator access or maintenance provisions are requiredCoordinate with Project Engineer for technical consult and QA/QC inspectionsLead the punch list process between substantial and final completion; leads the project turnover from construction through commissioning to operationsDevelop weekly reports on construction progress for Project Manager; informs the monthly management report.Manage outage and excavation requests with the universityCoordinate with GIS Analyst and locator during construction to add buried utilities to existing database and be informed of underground lines prior to excavating.Develops and oversees the Construction Risk Management ProcessSupport the Project Manager with Technical/Commercial oversight including:Review of Change Requests, Directives, etc.Review of monthly payment applications from Contractors and Construction Administrators* Orchestrate the design of traffic control prior to construction activities* Demonstrate a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.What You'll BringBachelor's degree in Construction Management or in a technical field from an ABET institution or equivalent in demonstrated experience; Certified Construction Manager (CCM) license is a plus;Minimum two (2) years of experience in management of construction for industrial or municipal projects with demonstrated successAdvanced understanding of design, construction and operations of thermal plantsDemonstrated commitment to safety leadership, fostering a culture that prioritizes zero incidents and protects employees, contractors, and the publicFamiliarity with project scheduling and documentation management in a technical or construction environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAdditional DetailsThis role is eligible for our hybrid work policyThis role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basisMust be available to travel domestically 10% of the timeMust possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving recordOccasional walking less than one mileAbility to access confined spaces and areas of varying temperatureCould involve some liftingMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesThis position consists of 50% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditionsCompensationSalary Range: $77,100 - $102,800 USD annuallyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
