Estimator (Construction)

Overview Syndeo has a direct hire opportunity for a detail-driven residential construction Estimator to support custom & production homebuilding projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to estimate labor, material, and time requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for translating blueprints into accurate, computer-based cost estimates, ensuring every material, quantity, and cost is accounted for and estimated accurately.Key ResponsibilitiesReview blueprints and construction plans to develop accurate, line-by-line cost estimates for residential projectsPerform on-screen takeoffs using PlanSwift software to determine material quantitiesObtain bids from vendors and subcontractorsCombine data into comprehensive estimates that reflect full project costsEnter and manage estimating data within the Mark Systems ERP, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the systemAnalyze and problem-solve within the ERP environment, adapting a production-focused system to support custom build needsTrack material price fluctuations and project costs to ensure compliance with the budget and protect profit marginsCollaborate with operations, purchasing, and leadership to validate assumptions, quantities, and pricingMaintain organized documentation and version control of estimates and supporting data and continuously look for ways to improve estimating accuracy, efficiency, and system usageRequired Skills and ExperienceProven experience in residential or commercial construction estimatingStrong proficiency in Excel and computer-based estimating workflowsHands-on experience with PlanSwift or similar on-screen takeoff software preferredComfort working within ERP systems, with the ability to figure out how systems work and adapt them to real-world workflows, Mark Systems experience is a plusStrong organizational skills and attention to detail with a logical, methodical approach and the ability to think analyticallyBenefits:Health BenefitsPaid Time OffHoliday Pay
