Master Scheduler

We are currently seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to join our team in Houston, TX, to oversee scheduling for our production operations across multiple locations.
Position Overview:
As the Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive production schedules across multiple locations, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated, and production goals are met. This role requires a strong understanding of production planning, resource management, and the ability to coordinate with multiple teams to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial equipment manufacturing and a demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling:
Develop and maintain a master production schedule that aligns with production goals, customer demands, and resource availability across multiple locations.
Coordinate with plant managers, production teams, and procurement to ensure all materials and resources are in place for scheduled production runs.
Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in customer orders, resource availability, or production issues.
Cross-Location Coordination:
Oversee production scheduling across multiple EDDY Pump locations to ensure consistency and alignment with corporate goals.
Collaborate with managers and teams at different facilities to ensure effective communication of production schedules, goals, and any necessary adjustments.
Ensure optimal distribution of resources, personnel, and materials across locations to avoid bottlenecks or downtime.
Inventory & Capacity Management:
Work closely with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure that necessary materials and components are available in time for production.
Monitor capacity levels at each production site and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency.
Plan for peak production periods and maintain an efficient workflow during high-demand times.
ERP System Management:
Utilize ERP systems (preferably Epicor) to manage and track production schedules, inventory, and resource allocation across locations.
Ensure that all scheduling data is accurately entered and updated in the ERP system to maintain real-time visibility into production activities.
Communication & Reporting:
Provide regular reports to senior management regarding production status, scheduling conflicts, and potential delays.
Proactively identify and address scheduling challenges to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers.
Communicate with sales and customer service teams to provide updates on lead times and production schedules.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate scheduling processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline production scheduling.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in production scheduling or operations management, preferably in the industrial equipment or manufacturing sector.
Experience managing production schedules across multiple locations is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Epicor) for production scheduling and resource management.
Skills:
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage complex schedules across different sites.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and locations.
Ability to analyze production data, identify potential issues, and develop solutions to optimize production efficiency.
Other Requirements:
Familiarity with industrial equipment, machining, and fabrication processes.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Epicor ERP or similar systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
