DescriptionBarista Shift LeadOverviewThe role of a barista shift leader extends beyond just making coffee. At Lori’s Recharged, you will provide a trusted place for joy and support when people need it most. You will provide products and services that nurture, inspire, and comfort. As a Barista shift lead in our Recharged coffee shops, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and engaging from the heart while creating and serving delicious beverages. Shift leads are generally responsible for coaching barista team member throughout the sift to execute Lori’s brand standards. You will set goals, assign job duties, and motivate others.Key Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer service by practicing GUEST standards (Greet, Understand, Educate, Suggest, and Thank) and ensure baristas understand and practice these standardsTake guest orders and process payments using the point of sale (POS)Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and smoothies and ensure baristas follow brand guidelinesPrepare food items such as sandwiches, pastries, and salads and ensure barista team members follow food safety standards Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work area, equipment, and utensilsFollow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages and ensure barista team members do the sameMaintain inventory of supplies and restock as neededCollaborate with team members and store manager to ensure efficient operationsCommunicate shift priorities, goals, and results to barista team membersCoach as needed throughout a shift providing timely, constructive, and clear feedbackSupport the training of barista team members as neededOversight of safety, security, and profitability policies/processes throughout a shiftCommunicate clearly with the next shift lead to help prepare them for the shiftNote: This summary is not exhaustive and may be adjusted to meet operational needs in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).Qualifications:Basic computer skillsFood Manager Certification (Lori’s will provide if needed)Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement.Fluent in spoken and written EnglishPrevious leadership experience in retail, restaurant or hospitality preferred.Physical Demands/Working Conditions:Standing on feet up to eight hours/dayRepetitive motion including bending, stooping and reachingLifting objects, ice, products, boxes up to 30 lbsWorking in a small spaceKey Competencies:Works well with others in a fast-paced team environment On time, demonstrates honesty and a positive attitudeWillingness to learn and adapt to changeGuest focusedAbility to assist with trainingProblem solving Motivating othersOur ValuesWe believe in kindness, integrity, and service.
