Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager – Manufacturing (Augusta)

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, safety, and site security programs within a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who is passionate about building a strong safety culture, driving compliance, and partnering with plant leadership to create a safer, more efficient workplace.This individual will play a key role in supporting site operations, leading training and compliance initiatives, improving safety performance, and ensuring the facility maintains a proactive, best-in-class approach to environmental and workplace safety.What you'll doLead and strengthen sitewide environmental, health, safety, and security programsPartner with plant leadership to build and sustain a strong safety-first cultureDevelop, implement, and improve safety initiatives, training programs, and compliance processesCoach leaders and employees on safe work practices, hazard awareness, and incident preventionOversee audits, inspections, observations, and corrective action follow-upLead incident and accident investigations and drive robust corrective actionsManage safety records, written programs, SOPs, reports, and compliance documentationEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and internal EHS standardsSupport key safety programs including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, confined space, fall protection, fire prevention, powered industrial trucks, driver certification, and emergency responseOversee workers' compensation coordination and partner with HR and external providers on case management and return-to-work supportPrepare and submit required regulatory reports and maintain accurate environmental and safety dataRespond to site incidents and emergencies as neededDrive continuous improvement efforts that reduce risk, improve performance, and strengthen overall site cultureWhat we're looking forBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume production environmentStrong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, workers' compensation, hazard identification, incident investigation, and regulatory complianceExperience leading safety training, audits, inspections, and corrective action programsProven ability to influence site leaders and coach employees at all levelsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsComfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with operations, HR, and leadership teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting/tracking systemsCSP or CHST certification preferredWhy this opportunity stands outVisible leadership role with direct impact on plant culture and employee safetyOpportunity to shape and improve EHS programs in a hands-on manufacturing environmentStrong partnership with operations and site leadershipStable, full-time onsite opportunity with room to make a meaningful difference
