Our organization is driven by a passion for creating meaningful opportunities and fostering a more inclusive society.Role DescriptionThis is an on-site, volunteer role for a Treasurer, based in Bay City, MI. The Treasurer will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting of the organization. Day-to-day tasks include managing financial records, preparing budgets, tracking expenses, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and preparing financial reports for the board. The Treasurer will also work closely with other volunteers and leadership to ensure transparency and sound financial practices.QualificationsFinancial Management and Budgeting skills, including experience with accounting practices and creating financial statements.Proficiency in Financial Analysis and basic Mathematics for accurate tracking and reporting of financial data.Organizational and Attention-to-Detail skills for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.Clear Communication and Team Collaboration skills to effectively work with other board members and stakeholders.Familiarity with nonprofit financial operations is a plus.Strong ethical standards and a commitment to the mission of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Relevant education or experience in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
