Midstream Senior Consultant

This role will focus on delivering business process improvements, system implementations, and operational optimizations for midstream clients, including interstate and intrastate pipeline operators, storage providers, and gas utilities. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, hands-on experience with the implementation of technology solutions, and a passion for problem-solving.Support midstream clients in business process transformation, system selection, and technology implementations.Assist in the design and implementation of commercial accounting systems such as Quorum, Trellis, FIS.Lead system configuration, testing, and deployment for technology solutions tailored to midstream operations.Identify and troubleshoot data integrity issues between systems, ensuring smooth integration of financial and operational data.Develop process documentation, training materials, and user guides to support system implementations.Provide meaningful input in discussions and meetings both internally within the team and with the clientDesired Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or other applicable degree.5+ years of experience in business consulting or system implementations in midstream gas operations.Strong understanding of natural gas pipeline operations, including:Contract structures (transportation, storage, PAL)Nominations and schedulingAllocations and imbalance managementTariff or SOC driven processes and invoicingFamiliarity with integration points across measurement, scheduling, and accounting systems.Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills to effectively communicate with client personnel and internal teams.Data analytics and management skills to identify trends, opportunities, and risk areas.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.About Us:Founded in 2005, Opportune is a leading energy business advisory firm specializing in assisting clients across the energy industry, including upstream, midstream, downstream, power and gas, commodities trading, and oilfield services.
