The firm is trial-focused, fast-paced, and known for leveraging disciplined deposition practice to drive case outcomes. Depositions are a central pillar of the litigation strategy, and the Depositions Team partners closely with trial counsel to ensure cases are truly trial-ready.Position OverviewElevate is seeking a skilled Deposition Attorney for a full-time/permanent position on behalf of our client to support a statewide consumer litigation practice. This role is ideal for a hands-on litigator who thrives in deposition strategy, witness examination, and transcript analysis, and who enjoys working collaboratively with trial teams. The position involves managing a steady deposition schedule and playing a meaningful role in shaping trial strategy through testimony.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and conduct fact and expert witness depositions in consumer warranty and civil litigation mattersDevelop focused examination strategies aligned with overall case and trial themesDefend client depositions and prepare witnesses to testify clearly and confidentlyHandle deposition logistics, including exhibits, subpoenas, scheduling, court reporters, and remote platformsReview and analyze transcripts; produce summaries, trial designations, and impeachment materialPartner with trial attorneys to convert deposition testimony into trial strategy and witness plansDraft discovery correspondence, motions, and deposition-related pleadingsMaintain accurate calendars, case notes, and deposition records in collaboration with support staffCommunicate professionally and empathetically with clients, experts, and third-party witnessesTravel throughout California for in-person depositions and proceedings as neededQualificationsActive membership of the California State BarDemonstrated experience taking and defending depositions in civil litigation mattersAbility to prepare deposition outlines, witness-prep materials, and transcript analyses independentlyStrong knowledge of California civil procedure and evidence rulesExcellent oral advocacy, witness examination, and legal writing skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing competing deadlinesComfortable with both remote and in-person depositionsPreferred QualificationsExperience in lemon law or consumer warranty litigationBackground working in high-volume litigation environmentsTrial experience or a strong interest in trial workFamiliarity with deposition technology, transcript workflows, and court reporting A trial-driven environment where depositions directly shape case outcomes Close collaboration with experienced trial attorneysExposure to complex consumer litigation mattersProfessional development, mentorship, and skill-building opportunitiesFlexible and hybrid work arrangements with statewide litigation exposureCompensation & BenefitsThe firm offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support long-term success and well-being, including:Competitive compensationSalary range is between $140,000-$160,000 commensurate with experience and location401(k) with employer matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceShort-term and long-term disability, plus life insuranceGenerous paid time offCoverage of bar dues and CLEsEmployee assistance and discount programsTo apply:If you are qualified, interested, and available, please send 1) your WORD version resume and 2) an email stating why you are a good fit for this position to Elevate Legal Talent provides an unparalleled platform for you to work with innovative companies and law firms worldwide on various exciting and challenging roles.
