divh2Warehouse Packer/h2pWork Shift: Third Shift (United States of America)/ppJob Description: Responsible for wrapping and staging products for shipment, which includes but is not limited to moving finished goods products to designated locations, performing move ticket and license plate transactions, plus maintaining a clean and organized work environment by performing the following duties. Supports production assembly lines by procuring, staging, and removing WIP products, finished goods, and cartons in a timely manner./ph3Essential Job Functions/h3ulliMoves or stacks boxes to assure they are in an orderly fashion before wrapping./liliMove marked pallets to designated staging locations with forklift or pallet jack./liliEnsures marked pallets are wrapped and any other pallet or Gaylord as directed per established guidelines./liliCreates move ticket and license plate transactions utilizing the Intermec scanner./liliShrink wrap pallets by hand-held unit./liliMakes sure the identification form of the pallet is visible through the stretch wrap./liliRequest additional plastic wrap when necessary and distribute./liliReads documents or follows oral instructions to ascertain the product to be moved./liliNotes location and contents of damaged box before they are removed for re-boxing./liliMonitors floor inventory levels and performs transactions as needed/liliMonitor floor WIP and Finished Goods production and perform transactions as needed./liliCommunicates with Manager, Area Supervisor, Mold Techs, and Packers as needed to keep everyone aware of schedule status./liliClean work environment by picking up miscellaneous debris, emptying trash containers, and sweeping./liliMay use a forklift to transport trash bins for emptying./liliPerform cycle counting and related transactions/liliPerform year-end inventory and related transactions/liliAbility to work as an MTC Packer as needed./liliAbility to assist the Area Supervisor with quality checks/liliLoads and unloads trailers Finished goods pallets and WIP Gaylords/liliInvestigates transaction errors utilizing the AS-400 computer system/liliDelivers and removes WIP products and cartons for the Cam Shelving, Dishrack, and Cold Fest assembly lines/liliProvides forklift support for the Textile department./li/ulh3Additional Responsibilities/h3ulliMust be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs./li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./liliAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English is required./liliMathematical skills Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions./liliAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations./liliAbility to successfully operate a sit-down forklift and the reach truck equipment/liliExperience using previous warehouse management system to perform system transactions./liliValid drivers license and forklift certification/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliBilingual in Spanish/liliCurrently forklift certified/liliExperience with Prism, Intermec, and/or AS400 system/li/ulh3Physical Demands/h3pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
