Cloud Engineer (Advisor)Locations: Hybrid - Plano, TXCompensation: $155,000 – $209,000 / year + 20% Annual BonusSponsorship: None availableAvailable RelocationNoneThe OpportunityWe are seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer (Advisor) to design, build, and certify unprecedented cloud solutions for a global Fortune 500 enterprise. In this role, you will be the technical conscience of our cloud infrastructure, solving complex, non-standard business problems across multiple large-scale product lines. You will partner directly with Manager and Senior Manager-level peers to bridge the gap between business strategy and high-availability cloud architecture.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Architecture: Develop and execute strategic cloud infrastructure plans; design fault-tolerant, resilient, and secure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Hands-on Engineering: Build robust, modern solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native frameworks.Continuous Innovation: Foster a culture of excellence by advocating for cloud best practices, automated orchestration, and "right-sizing" resources to maximize scalability and cost-efficiency.Technical Leadership: Mentor mid-to-senior level engineers and advise both technical and non-technical stakeholders on long-term Cloud Strategy.Operational Excellence: Mitigate risk and troubleshoot mission-critical issues; utilize analytics and KPIs to continuously evolve and improve platform performance.Documentation: Translate complex technical challenges into clear executive-level presentations and documentation.Technical Qualifications (Must-Haves)Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in engineering secure, multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced proficiency in TerraformCloudFormation, JSON, YAML, and ARM Templates.Automation & DevOps: Proven experience in CI/CD methodologies and automating cloud orchestration.Programming/Scripting: Highly skilled in Python, Shell Scripting, JavaScript, Ruby, or similar languages.Network & Security: Expert knowledge of cloud network architecture (VPCs, Load Balancing), identity management (IAM), and data encryption.Cloud-Native Development: Practical experience with services such as VPC, Lambda, and SNS.Required Experience & Soft SkillsExperience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience engineering large-scale cloud platforms.Mission-Critical Mindset: Proven ability to work in high-stakes, mission-critical environments.Leadership: Exceptional ability to facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and mentor junior/mid-level engineering staff.Strategic Communication: Ability to articulate complex cloud strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Why Join Us?This is a high-visibility, "Advisor-level" role where you will have a direct impact on the cloud trajectory of a global organization.
