Jewelry Repair Purchasing Associate - Full Time

Borsheims is looking for a full-time Jewelry Repair Purchasing Associate to join our team. At Borsheims, we take pride in providing our Signature Service to every customer, and you will play a vital role in helping us do that.Our Jewelry Repair Purchasing Associate is responsible for ordering inventory of precious metal manufacturing materials, small colored stones and diamonds melee for repair and fabrication of fine jewelry. The Jewelry Repair Purchasing Associate will assist with requests for locating, distributing, updating, and finalizing customer and stock jobs.You WillOrder and maintain inventories of findings, gold stock, solders, sizing stock and wire. Order from suppliers small colored stones and diamond melee for repair and fabrication of jewelry. Answers associate and customer questions, in person or via phone, regarding price estimates, job charges, instruction verification or changes/additions, job completion dates, job complexity etc. Follows through appropriately.Research new vendors/suppliers to compare prices for materials and new designs (finding, gold stock, solders, sizing, wire, small colored stones, and diamond melee) to ensure profitability.Assist jewelers and associates with questions and requests regarding loose diamonds and colored stones needed for job development and/or completion. Seeks out assistance from the appraisal lab to match type, size, shape, and color of gemstones according to job instructions. Notes stone details, costs and price for final processing.
