Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg/n/nJob Details:/n• Opening with varied work schedule/n• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients/n• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills for patient care/n• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, and developmental needs/n• Formulate comprehensive plans of care including discharge planning/n• Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision/n• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching/n• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records/n• Provide care based on best evidence available and participate in research activities/n• Supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel in care delivery/n• Interact with multidisciplinary teams, physicians, patients, families and external contacts/n• Nevada RN license required/n• BLS certification required/n• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required/n• Must have worked in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area/n• Bachelor's degree preferred/n• Professional certification preferred/n• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers/n• Must demonstrate clinical performance competencies appropriate to work area/n/nFacility:/nThis community hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on patient-centered care and excellence in nursing practice.
