Senior Systems Administrator
SUMMARY We are seeking an in person experienced Systems Administrator to support and maintain our IT infrastructure while delivering a positive support experience to end users. This role requires strong technical expertise, a service‑oriented mindset, and the ability to work across servers, virtualization, networking, and security systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Administer and support Windows Server environments (Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP).Manage and maintain virtual infrastructure using VMware and/or Hyper‑V.Configure, maintain, and troubleshooting network switches (Meraki or Cisco experience a plus).Assist with firewall configuration, rule management, and troubleshooting.Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for escalated IT issues.Support end users directly and ensure a professional, positive support experience.Participate in system upgrades, improvements, and infrastructure projects.Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of experience in a systems administration or infrastructure role.Strong Windows Server administration experience.Hands‑on experience with VMware and/or Hyper‑V.Working knowledge of networking and firewall concepts.Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical users.Team‑oriented, service‑focused, and detail‑driven.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in computer science required, or equivalent combination of 5+ years of systems administration experience and industry certificationsLANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of executives, customers, or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITY Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
