Receptionist Position The Arc Madison Cortland is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team. Excellent opportunity for online college students. Monday-Friday 8a-4p! SUMMARY: Receptionist operates a multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel; receives visitors and deliveries at the reception area. Provides administrative support to Human Resources and other departments as requested. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED. Answers incoming telephone calls/voice mails, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department; takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel; assures visitors sign-in; maintain records of visitor logs. Creates and maintains Human Resources reports for biweekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements. Tracks job descriptions and other required documents for new hires, promotions and demotions.
