ViruTech Systems, Inc is a spinoff of TLC Precision Wafer Technology created to launch detection devices, including medical devices, utilizing proven technology to identify various viruses and pathogens. The program manager will oversee the project execution in conjunction with the TLC technical team, our external strategic partners and contract manufacturer to deliver products to the market.
Roles/Responsibilities
Position reports to the CEO and works closely with the innovation team and product manager.
Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple projects directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives
Establishes integrated program plans, schedules, budgets and costs. Develops dependency diagrams among tasks.
Directs the engineering/technical team, monitors and reports all aspects of program performance (schedule, budget and technical output) with authority to issue operational and program directives to assure the success of the project from inception to completion. Proactively manages risks and employs strategies and mitigation plans to address
Defines and direct the performance of program functional task elements such as procurement, manufacturing, quality, configuration, logistics, administrative functions, contracts administration, facilities, sales, etc.
Facilitates and leads project planning sessions: plan, manage and execute projects that are cross-functional in nature (Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Electrical); manage change and conflict, and develop resource planning estimates to manage project workload and productivity.
Actively prioritizes deliverables within a program or project: ability to determine critical path amongst cross-functional deliverables
Develops a sense of urgency when key deliverables are jeopardized; Facilitates problem solving and meetings to address obstacles
Acts as primary point of contact with senior management to assure management understanding of the state of the program, including: program schedule, program budget, product performance, product cost, and other related information
Assures effective communication and teamwork among all functional department heads and program functional team members contributing to the program
Education and Experience
BS or MS degree in Engineering or Biomedical or similar field;
5+ years of program or project management experience driving medical device product development projects;
PMP certification is preferred;
Experience with the specific design control processes (phase gate) that are prescribed in ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 is preferred;
Experience managing complex medical technology development programs; Exposure to systems engineering, concept engineering, QFD, hardware and software development, validation and systems integration would be preferred
Skills Required
Must have successfully managed multiple projects from conception through commercialization
Ability to manage teams comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds including but not limited to Engineering, Software, Regulatory, Hardware, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Marketing
Ability to be the subject matter expert for the Product Development Process/Product Lifecycle Process
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Ready to tackle any high stress situations
Ability to multitask and manage various project elements simultaneously
Ability to be a leader and be follower as situation demands - a good team player
Big-picture thinking, vision, while constantly keeping an eye on execution of the vision
Conflict resolution skills
Driving skills to raise difficult issues/risks and drive decisions/resolutions/action
Ability to adapt to diverse working styles
In-depth understanding of Microsoft Office Suites (Project, Teams, Excel, etc.)
Knowledge of various project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Monday, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
