Anaplan Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Anaplan Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of Anaplan solutions supporting the firm's internal FP&A function. This role will play a key part in shaping scalable, connected planning models that improve forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and decision-making across the business.Based in their Chicago office on a hybrid schedule, this person will partner closely with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to translate planning requirements into effective Anaplan model architecture and long-term platform strategy.Responsibilities:Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of Anaplan solutions focused on financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, workforce planning, and management reportingOwn model design standards, data flows, integration approach, and overall platform scalability across FP&A use casesPartner with Finance leadership and business users to gather requirements and turn them into practical, high-quality Anaplan solutionsDesign and maintain connected planning models that support complex manufacturing and operational finance processesImprove existing Anaplan models for usability, performance, maintainability, and governanceEstablish and enforce best practices for model building, naming conventions, security, version control, testing, and deploymentWork closely with data, ERP, and reporting teams to support integrations between Anaplan and source systems such as ERP, data warehouse, and BI platformsSupport scenario planning, driver-based modeling, profitability analysis, and variance reporting for internal finance teamsAct as the subject matter expert for Anaplan architecture and provide guidance to model builders, analysts, and stakeholdersLead solution documentation, design reviews, testing strategy, and release planningSupport user adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing collaboration with FP&A teamsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field4+ years of Anaplan experience, including hands-on solution architecture and model designProven experience delivering Anaplan solutions for FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingStrong understanding of finance processes, planning cycles, and management reporting in a large enterprise environmentExperience designing complex, scalable Anaplan models with a focus on performance and maintainabilityStrong knowledge of Anaplan best practices, dimensionality, sparsity management, data hubs, and application lifecycle managementExperience working with integrations between Anaplan and ERP, ETL, or cloud data platformsStrong communication skills with the ability to work directly with senior Finance and business stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities and work across both strategic design and hands-on delivery
