Opportunity:Physician - Cardiology 60 shiftsJob Details:Provide general cardiology services in clinic setting Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMHandle 24/7 call responsibilities with 4-5 consults per day and 1-2 after-hour calls per daySee 20-25 patients on full clinic days, or 4-6 tests in the morning and 12-15 patients in the afternoon on partial clinic daysPrimarily treat patients aged 50+ in general cardiology departmentWork with support staff including medical assistants and one registered nurseUtilize Cerner electronic medical records systemPerform evaluation and management of new and established patientsConduct cardiac risk assessments and electrocardiograms (EKGs)Place Holter monitors and manage pacemaker check clinicSupervise echocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, and nuclear stress testingPerform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversionsHandle patient rounding and consultationsBoard certification required along with BLS, ACLS, and TEE certificationsMust be certified to perform and read nuclear medicine stress tests, exercise stress tests, EKGs, echoes, and TEEFacility:This 122-bed medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a dedicated general cardiology department.
