Job Title: Creative Director – Health & Wellness BrandLocation: Northern New Jersey, Hybrid schedule 2-3x/week in office.About the RoleWe’re looking for a builder-minded Creative Director who can elevate a brand from big‑idea storytelling and packaging design to digital-first content and high‑velocity performance assets.This role blends strategic brand leadership with hands-on creative craft, shaping how our brand shows up across social, retail, digital commerce, and traditional brand channels.You’ll lead a lead, execution-driven creative team and partner closely with Brand, Innovation, Sales, Media, and Digital Commerce to create work that builds brand equity, drives conversion, and wins on shelf and in feed.If you’re a creative leader who loves building distinctive brands while thriving in fast-paced, modern environments, this is your opportunity to both lead and make impact.Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Strategy & LeadershipOwn the brand’s creative vision and guide how the brand shows up across all channels.Translate brand strategy, consumer insights, and cultural trends into distinctive, breakthrough creative ideas.Partner with marketing, innovation, sales and e-commerce teams to deliver integrated campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.Define how emerging technologies—including AI—can be thoughtfully integrated into the creative process to enhance ideation, iteration, and output quality.Content Development (Hands-On + Direction)Produce content optimized for social and digital platforms, website/DTC, and retail/e‑comm product pages.Partner with Digital team on developing assets that are optimized for performance while maintaining brand integrity.Leverage AI‑assisted workflows where appropriate to increase creative velocity, enable rapid testing, and support performance‑driven content development.Brand Design & IdentityManage the evolution and governance of brand guidelines, visual systems, tone of voice, and packaging design direction.Ensure brand consistency across all paid, owned, earned, and commerce environments.Partner with marketing, e‑comm, and sales teams on packaging, retail displays, and hero visuals.Balance innovation and experimentation with strong brand stewardship and creative judgment.Innovation & TrendsStay ahead of cultural, design, and digital trends to keep the brand fresh and relevant.Experiment with new creative technologies and formats (interactive content, AI-powered creative tools) to accelerate creative development.Team LeadershipLead, mentor and inspire a team of designers and creative partners.Champion a culture of creative experimentation, collaboration and continuous improvement.Resource and manage freelance and agency partners when needed.QualificationsExperience: 8+ years of experience in creative direction, brand design, and social/digital content development (CPG, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer brand experience strongly preferred).At least 3 years in leadership within CPG, wellness, or lifestyle brands.Proven experience shaping and scaling brand identity systems, packaging, and retail creative.Strong hands-on creative abilities, including concepting, design direction, copywriting, and/or video/motion oversight.Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and modern social/video toolsComfort working in agile or sprint-based environments, with familiarity using AI tools for design or content creation.Proven track record of developing and scaling brand identities that connect emotionally with consumers.A strong portfolio showcasing integrated campaigns, social content, and brand design work.What We’re Looking ForA storyteller who turns insights into ideas that inspire and convert.A maker who loves rolling up sleeves to design, write, and create.A strategic thinker who balances creativity with performance.Passion for health, wellness, and lifestyle brands.Comp: $150k - $240k depending on experience
