Summary/ObjectiveCreate, review, and revise engineering and technical documentation necessary to fabricate automated machinery.Primary ResponsibilitiesCreates models, layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials on assigned projects, usually from engineering sketches or layouts using a high level of independent judgment and discretion Lead or assist in creation and adherence of company CAD standardsCompletes Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) and enters ECO's in ERP systemProvides technical documentation support for internal customers and suppliers, including manufacturing, service, and other engineering personnelPerforms basic math calculations for evaluating mechanical component tolerances and dimensioning use on Engineering documentation, usually following standard department procedures and tablesUpdate parts, assemblies, and drawings created in older CAD software to SolidworksOther duties may be assignedRequired Skills And ExperienceRequired skills include an institutional degree in Mechanical Design (minimum two-year degree in CAD Design/Drafting, with a bachelor's degree preferred) and proficiency in SolidWorks, preferably with certification.Preferred Software ExperienceMicrosoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint and OutlookSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
