Electrical Engineer

STS Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and oversee industrial electrical control systems, automation equipment, and machinery. This role requires strong knowledge of PLC hardware/software, motor controls, VFDs, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial automation. Candidates must be familiar with OSHA, NEC, and NFPA70E standards and have experience with Allen-Bradley PLC & Drive Controls and AutoCAD. Shift- 1st shift Starting Salary - $70k - $95k Depending on Experience Essential Responsibilities Develop and manage electrical and automation projects from concept to completion Program, troubleshoot, and modify Allen-Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix) Support HMI systems, industrial communication networks, and automation controls Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and boiler control systems Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications Supervise contractors, vendors, and engineering staff Ensure projects meet budgets, timelines, safety standards, and quality expectations Support steam boiler systems and related electrical components Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience/training 5+ years of industrial electrical systems experience 3+ years of PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting experience Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and CAD software Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial automation networks Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills Completion of an in-plant electrical training program required Steam boiler and boiler control system experience preferred Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Electrical systems: 5 years (Required) Electrical engineering: 5 years (Required) PLC Programming: 3 years (Required) Electrical troubleshooting: 3 years (Required) Allen Bradley PLC : 3 years (Required) CAD Software : 3 years (Required) Project management tools : 3 years (Required) Steam boilers: 3 years (Required) Boiler Control Systems : 3 years (Required) License/Certification: In-Plant Electrical training program (Required) Work Location: In person
