The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of pharmacy regulations, and the ability to manage staff, workflow, inventory, and patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily operations of the retail pharmacy and ensure efficient workflow.Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to pharmacy staff.Ensure accurate dispensing of prescription medications in compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, drug interactions, and patient safety.Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, potential side effects, and adherence.Manage medication inventory, ordering, storage, and controlled substance accountability.Maintain compliance with DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.Develop and implement pharmacy policies, quality improvement initiatives, and operational procedures.Monitor pharmacy performance metrics and ensure exceptional customer service.Train, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy personnel while fostering a collaborative work environment.Required QualificationsDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license.Previous supervisory or pharmacy management experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication safety, and regulatory compliance.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in Tribal Health, Indian Health Service (IHS), or rural healthcare facilities.Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records (EHR).Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).About Encode INCAt Encode, we empower organizations and individuals through innovative, human-centric workforce and technology solutions.
