Job Description: Coverage Area: Suffolk/ Nassau County Respiratory Therapist/ RPSGT(1099) Compensation: Full-time range 100-110,000 annually. Rate will be prorated for Part-time. PRN availability. Schedule: Flexible hours, full time, part time, evenings or weekends Employment type: Contract Setting: Sleep Lab Training: Paid training Experienced RT/ RPSGT needed Full Time. The position will provide sleep services. Our client is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy. Our client partners with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders. Responsibilities will include: Facilitating tests and collecting data Responsible for preparing equipment, recording activities, and analyzing results Responsible for following proper polysomnographic procedures including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks Analysis (scoring) of clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulation of final data to be submitted for further review Required compliance with regulations and laws concerning safety control Analyze data from sleep studies and provide accurate results Monitor patients during sleep studies Make suggestions for improvement of sleep study results Provide patient care before, during, and after sleep studies Maintain patient records Job Requirements: Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program Must be licensed in the state you are in/if on the border of two states, be dual licensed. Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist "RPSGT" in the State of (list state) preferred, but (list state) PSG and/or Respiratory Therapist license(s) required Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS) and/or CPR SDS pathway Vaccination and immunization Experience working with a variety of sleep disorders Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pay/ Schedule: · Full time, part time, evenings or weekends.
