Opportunity OverviewOur organization is looking to recruit a Board Eligible/Board Certified Nurse Practitioner to enhance a collaborative Gastroenterology practice located in Yuba City, CA. We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to become part of our Gastroenterology (GI) team. This role involves working closely with board-certified Gastroenterologists to provide exceptional, patient-focused care throughout the spectrum of gastrointestinal health. The position offers a balanced combination of independence and physician support within a friendly, team-oriented setting.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, and manage patients with various gastrointestinal disorders.Conduct outpatient clinic appointments, including initial consultations, follow-up visits, and post-procedure care.Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work, imaging, and endoscopy reports.Collaborate with GI physicians to develop and implement effective treatment plans.Educate patients regarding their diagnoses, procedures, medications, and necessary lifestyle changes.Engage in care coordination with primary care providers and specialists.Accurately document clinical interactions in the Epic system in a timely manner.Requirements and QualificationsCompletion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.Possession of an active California NP license (or the ability to obtain one).Board certification from AANP or ANCC.Experience in Gastroenterology is preferred; however, motivated candidates with a strong background in internal medicine or other specialties will be considered.Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.Working ConditionsThis position offers a supportive environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
