System Administrator (SA3) - High Performance ComputeLocation: Columbia, MDClearance: TS/SCI with FS PolyExperience: 9+ years (with or without B.S.)About KryptauriKryptauri builds and runs the infrastructure that mission engineers depend on. We operate at the intersection of high-performance compute, cyber operations, and emerging AI workloads-designing systems that stay reliable under pressure and evolve as fast as the mission. We're looking for a Senior System Administrator (SA3) who treats infrastructure as a craft, not just a queue of tickets. The MissionThis role supports Cyber Operations Capabilities in a fast-moving operational environment. You'll own the lifecycle of high-performance compute systems-from install and relocation to optimization and documentation-inside a government warehouse/data center environment. This is a great fit if you:Like being hands-on with hardware, not just working from a console.Care about precision documentation as much as you care about uptime.Enjoy building strong relationships with onsite teams and mission users. Are excited about where GPUs, cloud, and LLM infrastructure are going next. What You'll DoIn this role, you will:Stand up advanced GPU platformsDeploy, configure, and sustain NVIDIA H100, H200, and B300-class accelerator systems and other high-performance compute hardware.Build repeatable playbooksTurn one-off installs into clear, reusable procedures-installation guides, diagrams, configs, and SOPs that make future deployments faster and safer.Strengthen operational resiliencyIdentify coverage gaps, single points of failure, and workflow friction-and propose improvements that reduce downtime and accelerate response.Collaborate with engineering teamsWork directly with contract engineering and mission users to tune performance, improve workflows, and ensure systems match real-world usage.Prepare for what's nextPosition the environment for future needs, including AWS/cloud integrations and infrastructure that can support Large Language Model workloads. What You BringYou don't need a specific degree-you need depth, ownership, and clarity. We're looking for:Linux expertise in the real worldStrong Linux systems administration experience in operational or production environments.HPC & GPU familiarityHands-on experience installing, configuring, and sustaining GPU-accelerated or high-performance compute systems, ideally with NVIDIA enterprise hardware.Virtualization know-howFamiliarity with virtualization technologies and hypervisors, and the ability to troubleshoot across virtual and physical boundaries.Full-stack troubleshooting mindsetAbility to diagnose issues across hardware, OS, and networked systems, not just a single layer.Strong communication with mission usersExperience working directly with engineers or mission users, translating their needs into actionable infrastructure work. Nice to Have (How You'll Stand Out)Forward-leaning mindset - You naturally look for ways to make tomorrow's work smoother than today's.Hands-on hardware comfort - You like being in the racks, not just in the GUI.Relationship builder - You understand that mission success depends on trust and tight coordination with onsite support teams.Cloud & AI curiosity - Interest in growing into AWS, hybrid cloud deployments, and infrastructure to support LLM/AI workloads.Process obsession - You get satisfaction from turning tribal knowledge into clean, repeatable processes.
