Test Engineer
The Test Engineer is responsible for developing equipment that will both ensure quality of all production products as well as validate design goals. The test engineer will need to have a fundamental understanding of how the cold plate function and work in order to develop these test systems. They will be responsible to design, develop and maintain test procedures, tester hardware and software for production.What will you do? - Review designs for testability requirements. Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment. Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through to initial production. Generate reports and analysis of test data, prepares documentation and recommendationsReview test equipment designs, data and RMA issues with customers regularlyDesign, and direct engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipmentAnalyze and interpret test data and prepares technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnelDevelop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment. position and as directed by supervisorComply and follow all procedures within the company security policyHow will you get here? -Education: Bachelor's of Science in EngineeringExperience: 8 years of related experience preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering or related3-5 years of relevant experience is preferredPrevious test experience in a manufacturing or R & D environment is preferredKnowledge with metrology of fluid systems is a plusexperience with Linux or other scripting languages preferredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities: Detailed knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Tolerances, Manufacturing Principles, Interference ChecksBroad knowledge developing high complexity projects that have required one of more of Mechanical Engineering Design specializations or competencies: Tolerance Analysis, DFM, ServiceabilityLeads ME projects with multiple engineers assigned. Leads cross-functional and ME design reviewsDetailed knowledge (with moderate complexity) of Industry or specific sector, regulatory and safety standards. Influence others and share best practicesEffectively communicate with good understanding of EnglishWork as part of a global teamAssess a project and articulating risk while developing project milestones.
