DescriptionSupervise and facilitate the daily operations of the grocery departmentActively promote team synergy and provide operational support to all other departments as needed, to ensure effective and efficient store operationsAssist with scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results and maintains store staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job resultsAssist with orienting, and training employees within the grocery departmentGreet and assist customers in a way that models exemplary conduct to other staffEnsure availability of merchandise and services; oversees and assists with inventory managementProactive communication with Purchasing team members to ensure optimum levels of product are identified and executedAssist with data base management: reconciling physical counts with computer data and resolve discrepancies; Apply product codes, labels, price labels, price tags, etc. for identification/control and POS scanningPrompt & accurate recording/counting inventoriesMarket merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans;Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment and ensuring all health, safety and security regulations are adhered to and required standards are metSome travel may be requiredOther related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the store manager or delegatePosition RequirementsHigh School education or equivalent1+ years of experience in a grocery/retail environmentGood time management and prioritizing skillsDemonstrate ability to train and motivate staffExperience in monitoring and assessing staff performanceBasic office administration skillsProfessional, responsive and possess a positive work attitudeGood computer literacy and skilled in Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication skills both verbally and writtenStrong customer service and troubleshooting skillsExcellent teamwork and team building skillsMust be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.Able to work in various temperaturesAble to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekendsFull-Time/Part-TimeFull-Time DivisionDel Sol Market LocationFoothills Az This position is currently accepting applications.
