This opportunity presents the right candidate a unique role focused on helping the community and working with students, as well as a rich experience developing professional skills.All applicants are required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency (don't worry, it's not that hard) and pass a background check. Following hiring, the new team member is given the opportunity to complete training in the Mathnasium Method. This is a part-time role with flexible hours.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional instruction/ tutoring services to studentsTeach in-center using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group settingWork collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for studentsEvaluate, grade, and correct student work and homeworkSupport the maintenance of a clean learning environmentAssist with non-teaching/ instructional tasks as neededQualificationsA passion for math and working with studentsExcellent communication skillsSolid math competency through at least Algebra IAbility to balance various ongoing tasksWillingness to learn and be trainedBenefits/PerksGrowth OpportunitiesGreat CultureFlexible Hours$12.50/hr training wage (increase to $14/hr upon successful completion of initial training)
