Maintenance Supervisor
Position OverviewThe primary purpose of the Maintenance Supervisor is to assist in supervising the daily operations of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The Maintenance Supervisor will also follow established facility policies and procedures, and as directed by the Director of Maintenance, to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe, efficient, and comfortable manner at all times.Key Responsibilities:Holds the adaptability to work in other departments roles when necessaryLift heavy equipment, supplies, furniture etc., as directed or requestedSupervise the day-to-day maintenance functions and assign daily work duties to maintenance personnelAssist the Director of Maintenance with scheduling, training, and departmental proceduresFollow all established safety, fire prevention, OSHA, CDC, infection control, and universal precaution standardsCoordinate maintenance services with nursing services and other departments as necessaryEnsure maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, and protective equipment are properly maintained, stored, and available for useConduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitary conditions are maintainedAssist with maintaining required records, reports, schedules, and documentationParticipate in departmental meetings, training programs, and emergency preparedness activities as directedMust possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnelShared on-call responsibilitiesQualifications:Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facilityHas experience with electric, painting, plumbing, tiling, and groundskeeping
