Elementary Art TeacherPipestone Area School District #2689Position OverviewPipestone Area School District #2689 is seeking a passionate, creative, and student-centered educator to join our team as a full-time Elementary Art Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity, foster a love for the arts, and create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students can express themselves and grow as learners.This position plays a vital role in supporting the whole child through artistic exploration while contributing to a collaborative school culture focused on academic excellence, character development, and student success.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver engaging, standards-based art instruction aligned with Minnesota State StandardsFoster creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression through a variety of artistic media and techniquesCreate a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports all learnersDifferentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including those receiving interventions and enrichmentIntegrate art across content areas when appropriate to support student-centered learningCollaborate with colleagues to support a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) frameworkMaintain accurate and timely student records, including grades, progress, and attendanceActively participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and ongoing professional developmentCommunicate effectively and positively with students, families, and staffSupport school-wide initiatives, events, and student supervision as neededContribute to a positive school culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and belongingCollaboration with the other teachers, including the high school art teacher as well as other teachers to complete interdisciplinary lessons and assignments.
