They possess a knowledge of theory and practice in order to diagnose and treat the human response to actual or potential physical and emotional health problems. The seven domains of professional nursing practice are rendered in accordance with the nursing process, which includes assessment of patients, identification of problems and strengths, the planning and enactment of interventions and the evaluation and documentation of methods and outcomes of the nursing care provided. This process includes the involvement of the patients significant others and is in collaboration with the physicians and those of other disciplines. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient in their assigned unit.Qualifications:Required:Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Nursing experience in specialty
Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
Successful completion of all orientation programsPreferred:Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculatingCertifications and Licenses Required:Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
ACLS Required
IV Certification
Critical Care CourseScheduling Requirements:Per DiemEssential Functions:The RN Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments i. e, damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areasand medical errors
The RN is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served
Communicates effectively and collaborates with physicians and other patient care providers
Responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement
The RN is an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team member integrating safety, quality and experience of care while individualizing the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs when providing care
