Coves at Columbus Apartments is Hiring Maintenance Technicians!The Maintenance Technician's primary duty is to perform repairs and conduct preventative maintenance throughout the apartment community.Schedule: Full Time; Monday-Friday 8a-5p; rotational on-call weekend shiftsJob Type: Full-timeCompensation: $22-$32/hour; commensurate with experienceBenefits: PTO, Holiday Pay, Health Insurance after 60 daysAbout you: 3+ Years of Property Management Maintenance ExperienceGeneral knowledge of plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairEPA Certified is a bonusPositive attitude with strong verbal communication skills: will work with a variety of staff, residents, and vendorsReliable TransportationAvailable for duty on a rotational basis for after-hours emergencyEducation & Experience Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant certificationsCore Responsibilities:Included but not limited to: Responds to all assigned maintenance work orders during the regular day, giving priority to any emergencyResolves all maintenance problems that arise during the workReports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager any repair problems that cannot be fixed during the workCompletes regularly scheduled maintenance activities as assigned by the Maintenance Director.Performs general clean-up of the apartment community on an "overload"Reports all acts of vandalism, destruction of property, and suspicious persons observed within the community to the Property Manager or other designatedIs available for duty on a rotational basis for after-hours emergencyAssists in maintaining all electrical, plumbing, appliances, and mechanicalFollows dress code policy, including selection of outfits from the designated corporate clothing catalog. Maintains a clean, neat, professional appearance at allKeeps shop and storage areas in neat and well-organizedProvides high-quality customer service when interacting withCompletes grounds work as directed by supervisor, which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, and maintaining landscaping beds and otherAssists in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.Monitors and maintains all building systems asAssures safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and FederalEnsures compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistentOther duties as assignedAbility to lift up to 50lbsAbility to climb multiple flights of stairs and walk the propertyPerforming tasks that may require bending, stooping, or reaching, such as checking under desks or inspecting areas that are difficult to access#li-dniPowered by JazzHR
